Hot Stuff

So a few weeks ago my singles ward had a Valentines Dance. The dress was semi-formal and so when my mom was visiting I asked if we could look for a dress. We found the dress in the first store we went to and found an awesome necklace to accessorize with. Plus I already had shoes to match. All we needed was a sweater. Sounds easy right? Wrong! We spent the rest of the day trying to find a sweater that looked appropriate with the dress and would match the necklace and shoes. Finally after miles of walking the mall and hours of trying on clothes (no exaggeration here at all) we found the yellow sweater I wore. Well I looked like dynamite that night as the picture shows & received several compliments on my entire outfit, especially the necklace. Thanks mom for putting in the time and effort for me to feel like a million bucks for one night!

Lifes Lessons at The Woodlands

So although I am frustrated with the lack of new knowledge I am learning at my current rotation, I have been educated in various other areas of life. The following are just a few of the lessons that I have learned from my time here at Memorial Hermann at The Woodlands.

You don't pet the animals at the rodeo, you "rub the animals."

Cookie is an appropriate nickname for Mardrettia.

187 is police code for murder.

When you are married but have multiple other girlfriends, you put them in your phone coded as guys. For example Nichole would be Nick.

A pimp is a man who is dating multiple women but they know about each other. A player is a man who is dating multiple women that don't know about each other.

Arnold Schwarzenegger is the governor of LA.

I'm so glad that I'm learning the finer things in life.

Spiritual Boost

I taught Sunday School last week....
I am speaking in church this week...
I am teaching Relief Society the week after.

If people didn't know who I was before, after the month of February everyone in my ward should be more aware of me. Maybe it's my Bishop's way of helping my dating life. Speaking of dating life - I have been asked out twice in the last week by my fellow foodservice workers at the hospital. If only I wanted to date 40 year old guys or people who aspire to work in foodservice, my life would be good.
